This UX writing case study is a re-imagining of the state of Maryland’s online unemployment insurance system called BEACON. My goal was to improve my understanding of the UX design process, prototyping, research analysis, problem-solving, most importantly sharpen my content writing skills.
While this project was unsolicited, I thought it was important to explore how to solve some of the real-world challenges of users as they interacted with the website. To ask the question, “what do claimants expect when logging in to the system to perform various tasks related to unemployment benefits?” and provide one path of many as an answer.
